sup /ic/ might be in the wrong board but I figure artfags would have more knowledge on this. Is screen printing a business worth investing in? I only have about 200 bucks to use and I'm looking into a screen printing kit + materials. I'm mainly looking into making patches and shirts. I don't have a job or any income coming my way and I realize I gotta spend money to make money. thoughts?

Do you have art and design skills? You sound like you don't have any silkscreen experience yet. Do you have business and marketing skills?
You know, this could be a fun and profitable small business, but I gotta be honest with you: don't spend you last $200 bucks expecting to figure out how to make a reliable income on shirts. Save up $1,000 doing a shitty part time job or something, while you work on your designs, then play around with printing and selling. You can find a niche market, but this isn't the 90's anymore.
But yeah. Go for it. You just don't have enough money to get it going now.

I have a decent pull as I do a little promotion/marketing on the side. My idea is to start off printing merch for local bands and selling them in bulk while having my own online store for everything else (also want to have my own recognizable brand of clothing eventually)

desu this sounds like a good idea. B4 you start make sure you have sure deals from those local bands
