You see my friend, we draw ball and block because of skull

when you look at skull, is complex
hard to draw everytime you want to draw cartoon girls

so we simplify the volume my friend

ball is the place where brain is
block is the lower part of skull, where filthy jaw is

but, darwin does not like artistic people
so brain sphere is not round, but has been cut on the sides

this is why you look at skull
you draw skull with pencil
you then draw face on top of skull

you do this my friend until you see what i am conveying

Loomis will certainly help, as will proko vids.

Your anime faces look like complete crap, wheras the skull are a good start. That one dead center in 3/4 view shows a lot of what you need to think about when your laying down facial features, it's got a far stronger start with proportions.

I'd like you to take that skull, pop another layer on top, and try drawing in the facial features over top (anime or not, I don't give a fuck). See if it comes out any better.

Try drawing on paper first. Drawing digital requires another level of hand/eye coordination that can hinder your progress.
