Hey /ic/ I just recently started getting into making comics but something isn't clicking with my technique. Wondering if there is anyone else who makes comics who can give any advice.
Starting with some of the panels i'm more happy with.
No offense, but what technique?

i guess its hard to point out but I try to use a soft line then shade. Idk how to make the shapes look less jagged.

it's not your technique, in the best way possible your work simply isn;t good enough to look good. It's 1-week beginner tier bad. there's no point in doing something this ambitious til you get good, you really won't learn much from it and no one other than yourself will be interested in it
>>2388749I get what you're saying, i see it too. i'm still new to drawing on a computer with a mouse. Admittedly i did rush a lot of details just to have a final product.
>>2388749 I tried shading it differently, how does it look now?

You don't have a drawing tablet? You really should have one if you plan on doing digital drawings.

Even for a "rushed project", it actually shows you're going about this the wrong way. Ever tried Gesture Drawing?

If you are more comfortable drawing traditionally, get a scanner and work panels by combining separate chunks of images . Then you can reuse stuff like backgrounds and props. What I see works as storyboard stuff, now go back and try the panels as I describe.
Thank's everyone for your feedback! I've just decided to restart the comic with more concentration.

don't go panel-by-panel, go ahead and draw out a draft. take a scrap paper, or some copy paper, lay out the entire page. or make it scene-by-scene, lay it all out, then put it onto a page.
what i'm trying to say is that what you're doing (which isn't a lot, from what you've shown us) isn't coherent enough.
that's only regarding the 'comic' aspect. you're asking about shading and that... well, just read the sticky, check out the beginner's thread, and pick up some books if you want to become a better artist.
