A skull cast out of bismuth what do you all think?
Exterior Pic
looks like shit, bismuth can make much nicer crystals
Quite a bit spent around 400$ in bismuth so far
Not even bismuth has this many edges.jpg
I really like it, but godman that shit's expensive

It's a cool idea, but I think you need to make a few more attempts to really nail it down. Haha, I know it's expensive.
how did you make it?
Yeah will probably be melting this one down I think the mold needs to be heated up more

Is there any way to make it so that the crystals form on the outside, and it's smooth on the inside?
Like a reversed mold of some kind... the problem is that it's hard to tell it's a skull from the inside.

I think you should let it cool slower. That way the crystal has more time to form.

that wouldnt be a problem if it was displayed in a 360 glass case in the middle of a room
There's about a 40 second window between crystals forming and it turning into a block of metal so getting the timing it's difficult
>>2323565
sure, cast it in zero gravity
>>2323569
nyeeeah, but you want the crystals on the more recognizable/important part of the sculpture. it's cooler that way.
