That's a fucking retarded rule to be honest family. It's simple demographics. Consider the people you know personally that own a drawing tablet versus the people you know that own a computer and you can think of that as the general population of /g/. Whoever made that rule is a dumb ass nigga, gnomesaiyan?

THAT SAID, tablet threads should not be allowed to be made in a redundant fashion (same as any thread, really), if there's already a tablet thread than any ones in excess of that should be locked and its creator and any readers directed to the existing thread. The same thing should happen if there's three threads about any particular medium.

I am personally going to wait to get the new ipad and pen, beause it will make agreat tablet and i can uses it for other stuff, plus most tablets are just tablets so you don't have a screen you are drawing on, this is something to definitly keep in mind, but before the announcment i had my eyes on the huion h160 or huion 1600 plus, i forgot all thier details but those are something to go off at least i have a finals paper too work on so i have to leave goodbye, good luck also ban me faggots i have to focus please

Anyway. I don't know what your budget actually is, but of you're looking for something cheap and easy to use, look into a Wacom Intuos tablet. best Buy carries them and they range from $70-$100. I'm a fucking pleb when it comes to art, but I've been using it for about a month and I love the little thing. I have the 'small' one and I think I got it for like $78 with tax. PS4 controller for scale. I don't know if that's what you're looking for, but that's my $0.02

Noob here. I guess most of /ic/ uses a graphic tablet rather than a screen tablet. how long do you need to get used to not looking at what your hands are doing? What are your thoughts on the matter?

It's not really the not looking that'll mess you up, it's the not being able to rotate your tablet like you would a physical drawing that's kind of tricky.

I say maybe a month or two getting used to it. Quicker if you draw more often.
