I've stolen so much stuff in the name of art
since high school I'd steal stuff from the class room, and go to hobby lobby often and steal whatever supplies I needed, I've stolen sketch books, tracing papers, copic markers, pencil sets, pen sets, paints, book references, literally most of my things have been stolen

I'm a klepto, so when I go into a place without cameras it gets really hard to control my urge to steal
I'm not too proud of my "special talent" but I indulge it very often

I doodle on a pad of paper that isn't for doodling at work because I'm just a fucking badass.

I don't know if all hobby lobbies are placed the same but the copics, pens, etc, are normally next to the frame makers, so I just wait till the frame maker is with someone and she'll just let me see,

For me its the adrenaline rush I get from shoplifting, it could be an eraser or a pencil, it still gives me a nice rush
unfortunately, when I don't act on it, I leave feeling angry and disappointed in myself because I know I could have gotten away with it

Ive taken like a trillion of those little red sharpeners from my art class. Originally i bought like 4 of the exact same one my HS art class had. I kept thinking they were mine and before I knew it everywhere you looked in my room and in every part of my backpack there were small sharpeners. I then realized that that was more than four, but who gives a shit. The things are worthless.

I've stolen stuff from schools I've gone to. Paints, brushes, pens, a stapler, sculpting tools... It was always part of something I was currently working on and I never intended to keep the stuff, it just got left behind. To this day I keep telling myself I'll go back and return it. (It's not going to happen)
On the other hand, I often used my own paints and materials when doing school work, so I guess it kinda evens out.

As a beginner, I'll be stealing a hell of a lot of printer paper when I return to school.

I usually steal rubbers and pencils from classmates but my 2 big hits were:

I lifted 500 in paint and brushes from michaels when i was much younger. Stopped when I realized what a cunt I was being, and that stealing didn't help me git gud. You can't steal git gud.

I once got busted while trying to run through a crop field with 20 stolen copic markers and lile 30 bucks of weed, the property owner spotted me and called the cops and they hid the car right at the exit of the farm, it was the only way I had to get back home fast after stealing that shit, I'm still on probation while trying to git gud.

Most stores will compare sales from the previous year and if they're notably lower the store will only be allowed a certain number of hours for employees per week. This results in the workers losing money by having their hours cut.
When a store has its inventory totaled their theft loss has to be under a specific percentage of the store's sales to be considered passable, and if it's over corporate will investigate to figure out what the right thing would be to do.

If you go to any type of office-y place or a computer lab, you can usually find a bunch of paper that was only printed on side in the trash. Just use the back sides.

I like to lurk here because it's all (90% of it anyways) new, nothing I have seen before, new ideas and some great drawers.

Most of my work is of common sights anyway; Bands, posters, cars and art.
I don't know what fashion is like in the USA but this shit (pic related) is all over t-shirts in the UK. I was doing this 15 years ago, in fact it was the first two things I sold on eBay, made a stencil, printed it out, cut it out and traced it onto two t-shirts. £15 each.

Stole a ton of copic markers.

Don't use them but know they are expensive as hell.

I like to steal Conte Paris pencils, graphite pencils, and Stabillo colored charcoal pencils from the supply cabinet in my art class.

Otherwise it's been highlighters or notebooks from work. Never have the balls to actually steal stuff from a store. :(

Well I just never returned a set of brushes from my high school art class. Oh and a carving thing. Was so tempted to keep a huge prisma color pencil set but liked my teacher too much.

I haven't stolen from big retail chains since I was in middle school, got caught one time at a hot topic and was so spooked I never tried it again. The girl didn't even try to keep me or anything, she could see in my eyes that I was just a dumbass kid who was scared shitless so she took back what I was trying to steal and told me to gtfo. My parents eventually found my stash of stolen merch and took it all away lol

It's tempting though, especially at my Hobby Lobby- it would be so easy to pocket ink and a few brushes. But I am too brown and too poor, employees keep an eye on me at any place so yeah. Fuck that.
