Looking to get/make something for my dad, who is a painter and a sculptor. Ideas?

not a painting or sculpture

this

I'm not good at sculpting anyway, and my painting skills are nonexistent (something I've been wanting to learn, though) so that is more or less out of the question.
Something related to art would be good, though.

Maybe an inspirational art book. What sort of stuff does he paint/sculpt? Try to go for something sort of in that direction.

Here's one of his sculptures, to give you an idea. He's done a lot of abstract stuff.

books, tools or materials.

He does enjoy giant rocks.
A book on art history or art theory or that sort of thing sounds like a good way to go.

If he was interested in a certain book he'd probably own it. Materials are something he'll actually use and run out of.
