Probably functionally identically to any 2mm lead holder. The nice thing is it has a sharpener on the back and you can get a sharpener that gives you a really good point.

Roughly the same. I like baile brand for writing and steadler for drawing because the shape. They're all cheap on ebay. I like thr kita boshi too

I just like it cos I like to draw big. Also, it's a nice middle ground between a pencil and a graphite stick. Last, I've never had the lead break on me, which is probably the main reason I like it.

The key to 2mm mechs is to get one with metal construction. I also find that the staedtler lead is least prone to breaking or slipping. It has ridges going vertically along each piece of lead.
