Thanks! The colors are way way better in reality, people are always impressed by the results with markers, but scanners ruin markers and I can't get to scan it right.
Anyway I agree with the fainter colors, prismacolor markers are too saturated and usually I think they ruin what I did, but I keep using it. lol

The best way to develop a "style" is to let it reveal itself in your own work as you grow as an artist.

Style comes from how you interpret information. It's not something you choose and it's not something you'll be aware of when you're doing it. It's just like how different people have a different walking gait. You just walk and you rarely think about it yet we're all subtly different. You may pick up certain ideas and ways of drawing from others but only if they stick with you will they be your "style". It's like beating a dead horse to say it, but an honest answer to any novice artist's questions is simply "keep practicing". Just keep doing what you do and keep finding ways to challenge what you do. That is how you find your style.

I'm by no means a skilled artist or experienced art critic, but I think you could really tone it down on the little details in some areas, particularly the studs and stitches. Makes it hard to focus.

Well, that's kind of a definitive response to such a nebulous concept. And really, that's a danger of focusing on "style" so early. It fosters thoughts of symbol drawing. Neatly categorizing things that don't nessicarally should be.

Technically yes, you can develop a style you hate, but that's just part of the process. And as long as you keep willing to learn and grow, your understanding of your ability will grow with it and you'll be able to prevent self sabotage.
