Sai is good only for decent to low-end PCs for sketching because it's virtually lagless. Buying a 200 dollar PC from Walmart can allow you to run medium weight software like clip studio to almost no lag but you still will get a lot faster results to sketch it and ink it in Sai. Running shit like Photoshop will take way too much lag to be practical. Clip studio does provide way better-textured brushes and line art tools so if you do end up getting Clip studio then I'd recommend to still use Sai for sketching and then load it into Clip Studio for rendering. Or you could just upgrade your computer with more RAM and/or get a better processor.

Point is, Photoshop is shit only because your PC is shit. Nothing on the market can beat it in terms of painting, there's a reason why it's so fucking expensive. Clip Studio paint is a reasonable middle ground between Photoshop and Sai if you're not willing to upgrade your PC.
