FireAlpaca is pretty good.

Photoshop and clip studio depending on what I'm drawing. Mostly use Photoshop for painting or adjustments. clip studio for lines and quick colors

Paint Tool Sai for sketching because it's slightly faster than clip studio. Then I export the drawing into a psd file and load it from Clip Studio for rendering

I use MyPaint 1.0 because it's free and lets me easily shit out and save sketches. Tried the newer versions but there's lots of bizarre interface problems prob due to my shitty tablet/software.

I also bought clip studio and I like it a lot but I usually go back to MyPaint. I tried SAI a bit and it was pretty alright too.

Although Photoshop has "grut brushes" (http://grutbrushes.com/) which are inexpensive and fantastic.

I would agree if it were like 7-10 years ago, but PS isn't worth the hassle of buying or cracking when now there's really good software that can be had for cheap or free (gratis and/or libre).

I mainly use Medibang because it's what I prefer out of the one's I've tried that work for my tablet (Note 4 Tab)

I have oc6, fireAlpaca(both freeware and SteamEdition), Sai, Clipstudio Paint, Paint.io(?), and about 2, (Definitely 1) more program(s).

But it's not the tools that make the artist, it's the artist that makes the artist, and I need to stop slacking off as an artist...

Any tips to kick self-deprication into a deep dark abyss?

Gimp.
Tried other programs, but after using Gimp for over a decade, everything else feels wrong. I just don't feel as in-control of settings.

Thankfully so far Gimp does what I need. One day though, I know I'll have to fire something else up for that one function that Gimp might not have that I need at that time.

It's not great advice but it's the only advice that most everyone seems to agree on: Just draw. It's hard, it sucks, you're not in the mood, maybe you have no ideas. Oh well, draw anyway. Don't take it too serious, but draw, just to get drawing arm going. Draw something at least once a day. Doesn't have to be completed with lineart and color and so on, but at least try to do a full sketch, or a bunch of sketches even.
