so true
ms paint master race
While Krita is fantastic, it still has major issues in windows. The last update made it completely unusable for me unfortunately. I own Sai, CSP, and Krita.
I use CSP for linework, only CSP and Painter are good for ink work, in my opinion. The g-pen setting on csp is the best, love it. I use sai if I don't feel like loading up a csp file, it's almost as good for lines.
I also use to subscribe to photoshop and if we're honest it's still pretty much unbeatable for painting but Krita could possible be just as good now, not sure.
But you can make decent paintings in all three. I'll attack a picture I'm painting right now in Sai for an example.

Attach, I meant to say
Update: I decided since I posted the Sai example here, I would update it and show where it's at now.

Manga Studio 5E > Sai
>>494986
The OP already said that. CSP is manga studio. It's just the real name for manga studio in Japan. You can buy it under either name in english.
>all these plebeians who don't know about Sketchbook Pro 7
And one last update:

Thanks :)
>>495161
are you an /ic/?
>>495162
I'm the same artist who has a thread here (/i/) under the name Memaestro, where I took requests and did silly drawings for people.
I only ever made one thread in /ic/. It was okay but not the friendliest board so I prefer it here.
where does Swapdoodle stand at?
>>495851
I dont know, why dont you go check the thread for it?
>>495852
my thread? i'm from there anon

ms paint tier

but MS Paint doesn't have layers tho
Is it just me or does it feel like the board's tegaki is perfect? I end up using it more than real art software. I wish there was a way to download it though
If you're serious: It's not hard to download it. You would still have to run it on a browser though.
Firealpaca/medibang is the best, hands down.
>>495929
Its still shit though, 3ds screen is too small
>>496197
subjective
already got use to it as much as doodling on my android phone
SAI is for weeaboo tumblr-tards. Use something more professional when you finally grow up lol

Show me a drawing that isnt a grainy piece of shit an i might change my mind.
>>494920
Krita is nice but its still quite buggy
Tools aren't consistently working in different combinations.
The default tools are not super great so it leaves you to adjust them with its completly overloaded brush engine (typical open source software problem)
Some tools just feel odd like fill bucket, snapping, or selections generally
I suspect thats better on linux, no?
Is there something wrong with Krita? IDK, I'm new to digital art (I've only had a tablet for 9 months now), but it seems to work fine for the shitty low end tablet I got.
>>494933
Really? FireAlpaca as a first?
You guys sure like your easy paint tools huh?
>>495053
Sketchbook pro in any version has awful UI
>not bludgeoning your screen with a screwdriver to cause dead pixels
I still use a CRT so I have to carve things into the glass. I can't wait to upgrade.
Sai is blazing fast, even faster than firealpaca.
runs on every toaster and filters works with no lag at all.
anything against SAI is a meme to shitpost.
Sai would be my #1 if it didn't have that 10k pixel limit.
>>498128
use sai2 then

medibang a best

This is actually why I still use Paint Tool Sai for sketching even after I bought CSP. CSP has an amazing brush engine and is relatively fast but I've been used to having absolutely no lag when using Sai so when I sketch on CSP, it takes a good 3 or 4 seconds for me to get the right lines because I can't just quickly sketch a smooth line like I can on paper or on Sai. So now I sketch with Sai, and sometimes just ink it as well if I'm doing some more smooth line art, export as a PSD and then load it into CSP to render with my custom brushes.
