Probably not, it's a little too close to the ground and you won't be able to fit that much into the screen, this would be a good angle for a fixed cam in something like an adventure game.
Having said that though, experiment. Because you could possibly make it work, I don't know how large your sprites will be or what your layouts are, or anything about the gameplay.
Maybe test it out with 2d concept drawings first and see how things look, what you're going for, if you have a team talk it over with them and I'm sure you guys/gals will come up with some good ideas, solutions, etc.
