This isn't a feministicuntwatangentoobeeonnest, but it's really unremarkable and boring whenever character designers try for the retardedly non functional outfits.
There's so many ways to make a character of any kind visually appealing (sexually or otherwise) by their clothing without taking the cheesy stereotypically hypersexualised costume/armour approach.
It's so amazingly uncreative of them.
They can do it, obviously, it's their choice, and it's especially unsurprising if the entire project is meant for a particular demographic, (which it almost always is) but in an otherwise non pornographic project, it's so disappointing unless there's an actual story-based purpose for it.
It's impressive to me when the most attractive characters in something aren't even overtly sexualised at all, and the audience's liking them is simply the result of great design, and/or writing, too.
