I personally enjoy the games but if you're just in it for the chicks then you'll find the gameplay very tedious.It has a lot of fan service but if you like best em ups and hentai babes then you'll like it right off the bat. I recommend Senran Kagura 2 if you plan to play on 3ds since it is the hardest one in the series or if your have a ps4 or Vita get Estival Versus since it looks more prettier and has more content overall. Don't bother with Burst and Shinovi Vesus since they play like ass.

tl;dr it's fun but there's better wanking material out there.

Nikki is supposed to send you a note about how to make drawings "pop" which then unlocks the 3D feature, but I'm not getting that note (my friend did).

I think maybe it's bugged? anyone know how to trigger it?

I don't know the specific domains but can't you enable port forwarding for your 3ds? I did that awhile ago for mine and haven't had issues since then. Set it to allow 1 through 65535 for mine so it wouldn't be blocked.
