Try coloring in circles.Strokes are less visible that way

you gotta color the markers over color pencil or reverse

make sure all of your strokes are going in the same direction. work quickly-- marker layered over dried marker causes those different shades to occur.

maybe choose a specific section to color, and then another small section, etc. if you can do that without accidentally coloring over places you've already touched, you can minimize those visible strokes.
