My experience is that there's no single explanation, people are into the fetish for a number of different reasons. A few such examples:

This is far from a comprehensive list, and like most things in life, it's usually a combination of factors. And to echo what some of the other folks have said, at the end of the day, it's a fetish, so it's not like it's ultimately based in rationality.

What even are wallpaper dimensions these days? I'm still stuck in 16:9 ratio, usually at a simple 1920x1080 ... but I know loads of people are using resolutions much higher than that, dual (or triple?!) monitors, etc. Given that few people seem to want to use fetish material for wallpapers anyway, it's not something I personally worry much about when collaging.

I mean, this is one of those questions which becomes a bit pointless to care about any strict answer. A giantess will already be defeated by her own body mass well before she's too big for any modern military to defeat. That's not a very fun answer though.

A quick Google search indicates that the recent Moab bomb (the US's largest non-nuclear bomb) left a crater ~300m wide, and had a blast radius of 1 mile. The blast radius would be equivalent to an inch or so of damage on a normal-height person. It's unlikely that any individual bombing/attack would be lethal, but multiple sustained attacks? Or those using larger yield nuclear weapons?

But even at this point, there's nothing practical for the girl to eat (drinking might be a problem too), so she's on borrowed time anyway. Nor could a 60 mile tall woman even breathe sustainably (let alone a continent-sized girl suggested earlier, whose head would be well outside the Earth's atmosphere when standing!) This is a problem that gets worse with size.

So, really, any reasonably sized giantess would probably still be threatened by the existing military.

I don't really know about that. Part of the problem is that we don't really know too much what Katelyn's "public" persona is like (outside the occasional tweet) given that her boyfriend was at the reigns of most of her forum/blog posts for so many years. Since their breakup, she's only posted a handful of blog posts (none of which are particularly personality focused), and a handful of forum posts ... which again tend to be issue focused.

It seems to go back and forth a bit to me. Sometimes she seems a bit snarky and rude (though I think part of this is supposed to be "giantess persona mode"), but at other times she seems pretty polite and reasonable. Hell, she recently stated publicly that she's fine with people uploading her >6 months old clips to free streaming sites so long as they credit her and link back to her website. This is such a progressive attitude towards piracy (which typically has a "you're destroying the fetish by bankrupting creators!!!" response from the bigger producers) that I'm willing to throw her a pretty large bone, personality wise.

I think in general its just the equivalant to any average person being attracted to any given fantasy race. In simplest essence its a sort of exotic appeal thing. Some people are into mermaids, harpys, succubi, Angels, orc women, dragon women, fairies, and some people like the classical fairy tale Giant (ess). One cool thing is that giant can be any combination of the above. You basically can take any typical fetish and add size to it, its like a fetish enhancer.

IIRC the rumors were that Netflix was making it, based on a list of future projects posted on some website. A little vague, but I can't remember the exact specifics: it might have been potential projects, or it might have just been a totally fake list.
