Guess I posted this when I was drunk last night.
>>2921579
I hope it doesn't do this to all my pics I rotated the camera for. They show up fine on my computer.
Great museum. Like I said in the /o/ thread, this is the one I spent the most time at. Reading about the history is fun and puts everything in context.
Skip the Audi Forum, it's boring as fuck.

YES

Yea, wasn't planning on it. Not even a MB fan really, they have some nice cars, but I was told the museum was worth it either way. I'm glad I listened to that person. I'm in Belgium now, so don't think I'll be going to Audi or BMW.
I took pics of pretty much all the signage for each of these pics if anyone wants more info on something. Same goes for the Porsche thread.
If you go straight up the elevator (as you are supposed to) you start with the oldest stuff, work your way through the ages and then they finish up with a really cool motorsport display which starts with modern cars and goes backwards into the past.
Wifi is a lot better here in this hotel so should crank through a bunch for now. Still will be more than one thread, as this museum as a LOT of shit to see. You could spend all day there if you read every placard and spent even a short while looking at each vehicle.
I missed some of these, and some were kinda meh but I think I got most of them. They're all backlit, so hopefully they are still legible at least.
The lighting kinda sucks for a lot of these I guess. Brings out the best in my point and shoot.
First horizontally opposed engine if I'm not mistaken.

I even tried rotating that one around.
There are a lot of less exciting pics compared to the Porsche museum.
Last one for tonight, it's bedtime here...past 4am.
test
Your camera is a noisy shit but thanks nevertheless
>>2922078
Yea, the lighting isn't great in there, especially for some point and shoot camera.
>>2922247
Records of forced laborers
As was said earlier, they have a lot of cars but not all of them are very exciting.
This one wasn't so bad though
The museum is circular, you go up an elevator and just spiral back down though there are these side exhibits that kinda fuck up the flow of the place I think.
Good stuff op. Looks like an interesting place.

Thanks, no problem anon.

As you move to each generational section to the next, there are all these displays like >>2922481
>>2922430
>>2922429
>>2922247
>>2922224
To show you significant events of the time period. It's pretty cool, an extra step that Porsche definitely didn't take. I still like the Porsche cars more as far as the displays go.

The frame was the reason the eventually designed gullwing doors.
Just when you thought I was finally at the good stuff.

Yea, it was pretty cool to see what all was going on in the world when certain generations of cars were being produced.

One of these days we'll get to the good stuff. I guess I missed the placard for this one but it is an experimental safety vehicle to test different features.

nice dump anon, happen to have seen a 190e Cosworth?
Thanks OP. More good pics.
>>2923166
There was a DTM 190 E but not sure about Cosworth.
>>2923172
No problem.
Only a handful more of the boring ones then it's down to the best last big display with actual race cars.

Yea, they make a lot of things.
>>2923370
Well, that's image limit, was going to go back and delete some of the boring cars but the posts are too old. I'll link a new thread, not too many more pics left though.
Excellent thread and dump OP the MB museum is a really fantastic visit. And as you illustrated much more than just a car museum. The architecture alone is incredible.
>>2923170
I have a pic of my ex sitting in that car at the Frankfurt Autoshow in 2013.
>>2923174
There was both the DTM Sonax liveried car, and the Nardo speed record 190e when I visited.
