Cedar Point got a dive coaster for last season called Valravn, the tallest, fastest, and most inversion dive coaster but in my opinion the one at Busch Gardens Tampa is better mostly due to the restraints. The vest one on Valravn kinda sucks as it removes many of the forces you can feel on Sheikra at Busch Gardens

Disagree senpai. Steel coasters have that look of a sleek, shiny, high performance super machine that takes some of their character away. Wood coasters have a more warm, friendly look to them. Steel coasters look like they'll give you a rough ride but they're smooth. Wood coasters are deceptively comfy but will rough you up. Keeps you on your toes.

The idea that countless boobs have existed in the same space as the coaster turns me on like nothing else, it's a weird displacement fetish.

it's worth it for a day at least. diamondback, beast, mystic timbers, banshee, flight of fear, firehawk etc. vortex is a classic although it's gotten a little rough. waterpark is nice too.

diamondback, beast and banshee are must do's if you're seriously into coasters. each are among the best in their categories.

We have a B&M Hyper at my home park (Behemoth at Canadas Wonderland), and other than that I really want to do the beast at night and banshee but I heard the restraints are pretty bad on that ride. My experienced with those B&M vest restraints are pretty bad, it removes lots of the force and feeling out of rides like that.

Hell yea. A lot of people LOVE RCT1 and RCT2 and just say RCT3 is shit. Sure RCT1 and 2 were good games but we got to design and RIDE 3d roller coasters 12 years ago. For the merit of building and riding your own coasters, the game is worth it alone. I think that Planet Coaster is the true successor to RCT3.

I really didn't like those B&M vest restraints on Gatekeeper and Valravn. I also like inverts to be very snappy and fast-paced, so not sure how I would like Banshee which seems a lot more drawn out. I haven't ridden it though so I can't really say.

Have you been recently? I would say that Cedar Point has FAR better rides, even if you exclude the top 3 rides (maverick, TTD, millenium force) the ride lineup is still better. If you go in the middle of summer, the bugs are ridiculous, but I guess thats the cost of being on a lake.

Seriously, kings island looks like a fun park especially with banshee now, but I don't think it can even be compared.

Not him but I think KI has the best overall metal coaster (Diamondback), the best invert (Banshee), best wood coasters by a mile (Beast is a legend, Mystic Timbers might get best new coaster of the year (I have a feeling the RMC Meanstreak will be quite incredible though). Has some unique stuff like Firehawk and Flight of Fear. Personally I like Invertigo more than Wicked Twister (prob in the minority on that, but Invertigo is the only Vekoma shuttle with inverted trains that I know of, made it really sweet). The best drop tower I've been on, was the world's tallest, don't think it is now though.

But CP simply has more stuff. More top-tier coasters, more flats. Personally I prefer KI but I'd send someone to CP first if they could only go to one. It's worth it for Top Thrill alone, a super unique ride.

Maverick, Millennium and Top Thrill are indeed my favorite CP coasters, I disagree though, take those three away and I'd put KI and a few other parks over CP.

KI needs a giga.

Go to Dollywood if you haven't been, surprisingly great park. Lighting Rod is arguably the best coaster in the world right now (when it's running :/) and their wing coaster is better than Gatekeeper. I think wing coasters are sort of lame personally, but they have a lot of other stuff too. They've really stepped up their game, lately.

I hate wing coasters too, gatekeeper's only good moment is the drop, that actually is a good moment though. I really want to ride Lightning Rod but I have no idea when I am going to go there.

I find B&M Hypers kinda boring DESU, at my home park (Canada's Wonderland) we have one, and it just isn't THAT good of a ride. But maybe because I've probably ridden it 200+ times over the last couple years.

The one thing Cedar Point is lacking is definitely a good wooden coaster, but RMC mean streak will probably be the best RMC of all time.

Maverick is my favorite coaster as of 2015. Getting rid of the bar-restraints in favor of the soft, jet-pilot esque restraints made it infinitely better.

If the Hurlers drop doesn't end up being an inversion than maybe. Even though it doesn't have as much creative room as Mean Streak will have I still have high hopes. Also on the subject of Kings Dominion, we need something big on Lake Charles by 2020 that isn't Anaconda. Shockwave being replaced with Delirium was a disappointment considering that spot in the park was the ideal piece of land for a smaller coaster (looping Zyklon but wishful thinking).

But I am not sure if Hurler is a large of a scale like this. It could be better, but we don't know a thing about RMC hurler yet. I don't want another RMC with an inversion drop. I feel like anything other than a straight, steep, drop lessens the "height" and scale of the drop. Like top thrill dragster, the twisting kinda takes away from the sheer height of the ride (although in my opinion that twisting in a lap bar going that fast is pretty damn thrilling)

And you do realize many of RMCs coasters have mostly lap bars restraint wise? Overall I have no idea, I'm just happy RMC is finally coming to my home park and is taking something old and making it even more fun than it already was.

Also here's two unpopular opinions; Coaster Studios is a hack and yet somewhat of a crybaby Robb Alvey can be based at times when it comes to his coaster opinions.

Yea I know, RMCs are amazing, I have been on twisted colossus and it went straight to my #1. Coaster Studios is pretty cringy sometimes but its fine to watch. Robb Alvey used to be appreciated by me, but I use his forums all the time and the reason for him banning or suspending some people is just ridiculous and he is just such an asshole. But their POVs are the best (sometimes there are better POVs) and the community is definitely the largest.

Having been on Maverick, launched lift hills are really something awesome and help to contribute to the pacing of the ride very well. Especially on a wooden coaster with only a lap bar, I bet that lift hill is insane.

I305. There may be some bias there because it's my home park however that has been the only coaster I have ever ridden where I've been not only satisfied with each time ridden but worn out with the rush I've gotten. Honorable mentions go to Outlaw Run, Cheetah Hunt, SheiKra, Titan and Fahrenheit (little behind the trends). Surprisingly I have never been to another Cedar Fair park though I hope to eventually visit at least Carowinds and the big daddy Cedar Point now that I work part time at the park for summer.

OC of the Hurler pre-closing 2015. If you anons ever visit this summer I'll probably be working the tollway cars but hope to get a shift at FoF sometime this July

Kings Dominion is probably the next Cedar Fair park I want to get to. There is a lot of hype over Fury 325, but honestly I305 still looks better to me. People say its a mix between Millennium Force and Maverick, and those are two of my most favorite rides.

From the POV videos I've seen of the two that would seem like an accurate assumption. The sudden jerks of Mavericks track layout and the height/speed of MF would pretty much lead to the bastard child that is Intimidator. Just be weary to the fact that more often than not heading up the first airtime hill may lead to a brief blackout. You could maybe wear sunglasses to decrease the effect though I wouldn't recommend it due to the possibility of them flying off.

I am actually quite concerned about i305 because the last time I went on Millennium Force about 2 weeks ago I had like 10% of my vision left for the whole overbanked curve and into the first low-height curve.

But in that case I had ridden 7 times in a row on the same train, so I guess that might have led to it.
