ironically why's the images disappearing ie Catalogue and also in threads... my mobile phone shows, (this image doesn't exist 404,)... now im home and on my computer Opera and internet explorer10 are the same.... who's died ?

There was a site error the other night and tons of stuff got deleted. There was a sticky explaining this to people but the incompetent mods took it down so now there are people in every thread going confused.

Thats just a cover up. Some shit head started posting images of "real" alien, a few mins later the site went down. All the images were deleted from this site, and the archives. When the site came back up it wouldn't let you upload any images or start a new thread for HOURS. Everytime some tried uploading an image they would get this error..

We used to have a couple more image servers, Hiro added them as a way to save money. But they actually slowed down image loading and especially gif/webms, so he was finally persuaded to delete them. (You'll note images now load faster and gifs/webms run on one click now). But being the idiot he is it nuked every image posted prior to February 8th, shut down image posting for a few hours, and caused continual connection errors for a few more after that. As anon above >>2866397 noted there was a notice pinned to the top mentioning it (in an incredibly smug and unhelpful way) but that got taken down because it made Hiro look even more useless than usual. It could have been fixed and the lost image retrieved if they actually knew what they were doing, but unfortunately they dont.

Basically our admin a shit.
