Posting just because I can't believe there is an Eve thread started in this sub. I doubt this thread will make it anywhere but I wish it would.

Worth trying to get into EVE online now, or too late?
>>2813671
It is worth it in my opinion. I have been playing for going on two years and it is more active than ever with the recent release of alpha clones.

My corporation/alliance has daily 100+ member fleets. On weekends it doubles. Drunk fleets its 250+. Never a better time

Do I have to spend money to be relevant?
Getting ready for another keepstar run tonight
>>2815064
If you check back here for some reason, no, you don't have to spend money to be relevant. You can be a contributing member of a fleet as an alpha with a decently planned skill path. You can go out and do solo pvp for free. I would imagine that the limitations of a free alpha character would get frustrating after a while, but flying as an alpha is a great way to get a feeling for this bizarre game before you decide it is worth the subscription cost of an omega clone.

desu that was a shitty move by ccp to rally up everyone to get on the km.
I think CCP should remain neutral and not entice players to pick one particular side. Then again their game is dieing and they need mass events o get back players.

A month of gametime ranges from roughly $12 to $16 a month depending on how many months you buy at once (I haven't bought game time in a while, but that is the general number).

One does not into EVE lightly

i played it for a while, beautiful graphics, music is comfy too.
too bad the game is fucking terrible. 30 type of each weapon and only the tech II one is worth the effort. absolute lack of any kind of physics, feels like snes starfox. the "rooms" in which the systems are in make the universe feel so small and bland too.
battle is also too simple, combined with linear design of weapons, nearly impossible to get any kind of strategy going, aside from more ships, more action. battles should resemble naval battles, instead its more like boring dog fighting, who ever gets the first shot in usually wins.
i genuinely tried to enjoy this game, i played for 5 months, joined a corp, left it and did some faction warfare. stopped playing and let my sub end. i keep checking back every now and then in case they update combat, but i aint holding my breath.
