Not to be a complete negative Nancy (hurr) but I doubt Momoland will be very popular. Nobody watched their Mnet show and they had to resort to Makestar for their debut which quite frankly is not a very good image cos it's mostly seen as a means meant for struggling nugus from companies that lack funding.

I just looked into this a bit and it seems to be fake. If you follow the link to the original article, it's actually a forum post titled "female idol tells fan to die" which contains only the picture and the caption "WJSN Eunseo." And if I understand correctly, the post seems to be anonymous as well. I tried doing a few google searches and all I'm finding is this same post.

Yeah it doesn't give an accurate indication of the video's resolution but it's the automated naming format for youtube videos downloaded by jdownloader. Guess the devs didn't take all the vertical kpop fancams on the site into account.

The thing is, if you're upscaling the smaller video to watch it full screen, it will also be displayed at 1080p. In this scenario, if you think about what was done to the original video, the HD version suffered a lossy encode at ~7mbps, while the SD version suffered a downscale, then the same lossy encode, then an upscale.

If these were good encodes with high bitrate and all, you'd be able to say for certain that the HD copy should look better, since the SD copy would have lost detail when it got downscaled and the HD version would have preserved it. But since we're dealing with not-so-good encodes, it might be that most of that detail was lost anyway in the encode, and you're just looking at a tradeoff between ringing from the low bitrate and blurriness from the low resolution. Which one looks better can be subjective, then.

On the other hand, if you're watching the SD version at its normal size and the HD version downscaled to fit your screen, there will be no blur due to upscaling and the ringing will probably get lost during the downscale, so they should look pretty similar.

I would think the bitrate here would have to be much lower than 7mbps for the HD copy to have significantly more noticeable artifacts when being played at the same res as the SD copy. Maybe I'm wrong, though.
