I'm gonna be that guy and point out the model for the B is wrong. Doesn't have the extra engines or the additions to the sides of the stardrive section.

Are you referring to the Enterprise and Enterprise-A? because they were both Constitution class ships.
Not a nice place, but I like its insect-ish look.
>>2776060
Look again there is no -A on the refit Enterprise in that piece. This makes it the same ship under the skin as the original next to it.

The threads with virgins in them are the ones with pictures of women, which is 80% of the threads in /hr/.
My gf would kill me if she saw me uploading pictures of actresses or pop stars to /hr/. People with so many pictures of females screams NO GIRLFIREND, so the chance is pretty high they never had a gf and they never had sex.

Does anyone have a super high res picture of the starship enterprise D? From TNG. All I'm finding now is the old enterprise because of the hype from the new films, but I really want to see some of the D.
Thanks in advance

Tintin - Rocket on Launch Pad
from 'Explorers on the Moon' (The Adventures of Tintin - Herge')
'Explorers on the Moon' synopsis:
Tensions are running high at the Sprodj Atomic Research Centre near Klow, the capital city of Syldavia. Contact with the moon rocket has been lost. It turns out that the passengers have temporarily been knocked unconscious by the terrible pressure exerted by the moon rocket’s acceleration.
There is an unwelcome surprise in store for the astronauts when they awake. Despite the meticulous prelaunch planning, there are two extra passengers on board: Thomson and Thompson!
The extra people on board cause a shortage of oxygen — supplies have only been calculated for four people and a dog. Will the heroes manage to make it through this adventure in one piece?

that's the perfect example of what bothers me with most of these sci-fi spaceships: they are almost all designed like some sort of big battleship/super cargo boat. As if they are floating on their belly in the invisible sea of space. Why is that? is it simply a lack of creativity, or a lack of technical understanding?
There is no up or down in space, the only useful direction is along the axis of the thrust of the main engines. The spaceships should have the symmetry of a skyscraper, not of a cruiseship
>>2792932
I thought this looked neat but quickly realized t was a bad design. A weapon barrel directly over the cockpit is such a bad idea. It creates a large extra blind spot plus the flash on the weapon might blind the pilot.
>>2793773
The example you are using looks like that because it, depending on the version, was made from or disguised as the WWII battleship Yamato.
>>2794071

>: they are almost all designed like some sort of big battleship/super cargo boat.
most of them are assumed to enter an atmosphere and land on ground/sea of a planet, which is why most have the shapes they do

Much more than a trillion, though your point is valid.
Im just curious, what is the known fastest ship in sci-fi universe?
>>2816243
that ship in Star Trek Voyager that went Warp 10 and the crew became big salamanders.
photo realism inside the Jackal...
the original design for the millenium falcon
>>2818405
thank god they didnt go with that
looks much better as a corellian gunshop
>>2818688
I like it, sort of. It fits more with a modular fabrication. It would look as though function mattered more to the designers than form if it wasn't for the random buttressing and extended surfaces.
Too bad they kept the worst parts of the design philosophy from both angles. Fortunately the OT had enough charm to get away with all that.
>>2816304
How fast is warp 10? I see stuff like pic related and I take it to simply mean that it is beyond their measurable limits in their technology, but it seems as though it would still be limited to interstellar travel given the distances and times noted approaching the limit. Does it compete with concepts like Skip Drive from Old Man's War or ships like Streaker from the Uplift series that are intergalactic movers, not just interstellar travelers?
>>2818405
ew an ugly penetrator
big space

Nice to see some Star Citizen in here. As much scope creep it faced, alpha 2.6 feels nice. That Reliant ("Sen" Research variant) is my starter.
>>2825809
same guy here
It probably has something to die with the fact that Star Wars BTFO of all other obscure scifi franchises, leading to a feeling of inferiority.
Either that or their tiny dicks lead them to overcompensate whenever a perceived relationship between size and strength is presented.
>>2783591
you telling me that the ship without a proper weapon equipment or anything remotly close to a fucking spaceship.I mean the TARDIS is good as a timemachine. But as a space ship it sucks balls.

warp 10 is meaningless
it is like anything with mass traveling at light speed in normal spacetime
warp only reaches 10 as an absolute unobtainable limit (geometric meaning, curve which never reaches it), with higher speed only increasing the value of the number after the decimal after the 9:
9.*****..... ad infinitum
warp 10 would be "occupying all points in the universe simultaneously"

agreed, its a busted up ship that cant camouflage into anything else but has a magic circuit that keeps you from seeing it clearly because it stays at the edge of your eyesite.
