Yes of course, it developed in Sardinia during the bronze age, the Nuragic built perhaps over 10,000 Nuragic towers and palaces (Nuraghi), today 7,000 can still be seen even if in ruins.

In addition to that the Nuragics built the first human sized statues in Europe, the "giants of Monte prama" dated around the XI-VIII century bc, or perhaps even older according to the recent c14 exams on the necropolis where they were found.

They also produced a vast quantity of bronze statuettes, about 700 have been found both in Sardinia and elsewhere (in Etruria too for instance), 157 of these statuettes depicting ships, showing the deep connection these people had with the sea.

They also built many other structures such as Megaron temples and the Water well temple, some of these temples other than being beautiful to look at were also astronomically "advanced" such as the temple of S.Cristina which has been definied as the most astronomically advanced monument of ancient Europe by the astronomer Arnold Lebeuf

I think it is a fascinating subject that has been drowned in bullshit by the mainstream media. Of course there are lost civilizations - to claim otherwise would be to claim that we know all of history. I love to research this stuff, but one has to practically swim in garbage in order to find any descent information. I think that was done on purpose.

I don't necessarily buy that agriculture began in the Middle East between 10000-8000 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it actually occurred at several points in history, only for whoever was pioneering it to be wiped out by human/natural causes before the practice could really spread.

>>956036

Those guys always fascinated me, it seems like they had a really developed set of religious beliefs, and their art definitely had an advanced canon.

The Italian region was dotted by civilizations that puzzled the Greeks, I wonder if they independently arose over there or somehow spread from the Levant.

>before the "great flood"

Well the oldest account of the flood is from Sumer, and they were the first civilisation, so kind of I guess?

More amazing to me than the many lost civilisations is the fact that the myths and tales of the very first civilisation are still circulated to this day, albeit mostly in Jewish copies. 6,000 years ago, Gilgamesh tried and failed to achieve immortality, and in a weird kind of way he's still with us.

The wall is probably more ceremonial than anything, although of course it would provide excellent protection too. If you mean the "nipple" sticking up, that's part of the mechanism holding the stones in place, there would be a "pit" in the stone that lay on top fitting the "nipple" and forming a kind of key.
