Kind of depends on the quality of French kings, the French Revolution itself happened because of how weak Louis XVI was.

Assuming no fuckups of that sort, there's no reason France couldn't have maintained itself as the European hegemonic power for longer as it had been since the 1600s. Beyond that alt history is pretty pointless.

If you appreciate that the revolution had tangible causes, such as severe economic troubles, a rising literate bourgeoisie(who could articulate their persecutions, unlike 100 years earlier), poor leadership, etc. Why wouldn't the revolution just happen elsewhere?

Parliamentary response to democratic reform in the UK was driven by fear of another revolution happening in Britain, so perhaps with no revolution to fear you'd see a harsher response to democratic reform groups in Britain > revolution.

To answer your question, I think revolutionary ideals would have spread from any single country in europe, but you were only going to see them initially appear(at least in the late 1790s/early 1800s) in western europe.

If you were going to roughly divide history into periods, most historians would chart modern history from the beginning of the french revolution, because it's a solid bit of evidence for a real change in the culture of european peoples. You're going to get the rise of ideology with or without the storming of the bastille, it was just a matter of when. The people in this thread saying we'd still have an absolutist France now are either memeing or idiots.
