Why did the Germans love Hitler so much?
>>
Because he was making Germany great again.
>>
Because he was the German Donald Trump
>>
>>930038
Because of qt propaganda like pic related
>>
National father figure. Populist to the fucking max.
And you dont have to use past tense.
Just google Fake Hitler gets warm welcome.
Its about shooting the Look who is back movie.
In parts where they didnt use extras but normal passersby their reactions to the Hitlers actor seriously triggerred some folks.
>>
>>930038
>love Hitler so much?
he was elected chancellor by getting 30% of the votes.
>>
>>930038
Because after losing WW1 they were disappointed in their former leaders and wanted a strong new leader to lead them into the next war, from which they were certain they would emerge victorious.
>>
>>930104
Hello Huffpo
>>
>>930166
How?
>>
>>930210
Hindenburg won but he was senile and allowed Hitler to cuck him out of his powers
>>
>>930038
Because all the ones that didn't like him got sent to labor camps.
>>
He fixed the economy
>>
>>930038
>be german in 1938
>hear about Hitler
>sort of indifferent to him
>several of my friends hate him
>they say so publicly; get sent off to labor camps or prisons
>everyone else left loves or is mostly indifferent to hitler
>>
>>930038
>Why did the Germans love Hitler so much?

They didn't. Most saw him as kind of a joke at first, then a dangerous brute. The same way the rest of the civilized world saw him, really. But he had a fanatical minority support because "make Germany great again" and he ended up in charge with a combination of good luck and thuggish manipulation.

Not edgy enough, read Defiance by Sattvi Devi if you want a more personal look at what people liked.
>>
They saw him as a moderate. Remember, that in the bundestag he controlled the radical excesses of the nazi party.

He's like a Kacich.
>>
Is there any indication that he was actually beloved outside of the meme festivals that everybody knew was propaganda?
>>
>>930038
Everyone else was more shit. And most of them had their chance. So, it was just trial and error.

Commies tried to destroy everything.

Social Dems became more pragmatic after getting into power (who would have thought), but still had their socialist roots and plans.

Centrists did not provide answers or durable personalities either (last guy in office was some Christian priest putting Germany on an ascetic trip with no further perspective).

Rightists were splintered and usually just going for muh Prussia, muh reunification, we are the people, muh nobility.

The NSDAP combined both right wing and left wing ideas and as a result came out somewhere in the centre. Not moderate, but extreme left AND extreme right combined. They were not called "Volkspartei" (party of the people) for propaganda reasons only.

After like 7 years of no parliament and new elections, you will realize that people become less and less resistant to extremism.
>>
>>933420
Election results.
>>
Because he wanted to make Germany great again
>>
He was a mus ridiculus who rose to power on the misdirected passions of angry human minds, like all dictators.
>>
Because anything was better than the Great Depression
>>
>>933546
>Election results

But he only got 30%...
>>
>>930166
He received 46% of the popular vote in 1933, not 30%.
>>
>>930038
Because desperate times mean that people will go to extremes to try and get back into a better situation
>>
>>933072
Germany =/= USSR

Then why did Time name him the "Man of the Year" in 1938?
>>
>>933073
Also masses of pisspoor workers for whom the first vacation financed by the state was a gift from heaven and their kids being sent to the hitleryouth a salvation from the strained fionances of the household.

Also peasants.
Peasants really liked him because their life did not change but for being elevated in the media as the great backbone of the people+new festivals in their honour along the short economic boom financed by debts from which they experienced the best.

Citydwellers were much more suspicious of him though and were often more or less forced at some point by their more fanatical relatives ot go along or...
>>
>>930038
When a loaf of bread costs billions of reichmarks, you'll probably go to the man who promises to make that change.

He was everything the German people wanted (and debatably needed) at that time.
Strong, nationalist, had ideas for how to fix the economy, wanted vengeance on the shitty French, stick it to communism.

The German people were desperate, and therefore chose Hitler simply because he wasn't stagnant and had plans to move them into 'greatness'.

>>
>>935185
You know "Man of the Year" just means the most significant person in world events, right? Stalin won it twice, and so did Ayatollah Khomeini.

Gee, what did Hitler due in 1938 that was newsworthy?
>>
>>935185
Man of the year just means he was important no necessarily good.
>>
>>930038
As much as (I know I'll trigger /pol/tards with this) I hate Hitler and fascism, he was better than what they had at the time and he legitimately fixed a lot of their problems.

To be frank, Germany after WWI was practically a 3rd world nation and he was the only hope of living outside of poverty, even if his actions were in hindsight wrong.

Alright then if that's not good enough to show that this poster >>933073 is full of it, then why were men like Mohandas Gandhi, Henry Ford and Walt Disney admirers of Hitler if "the civilized world" saw him as a "joke/dangerous brute?"

''At no time in recorded history has a leader, a wielder of power in human terms, not as popular figurehead or celebrity, had such a closeness to his followers, his entire people, as did Adolf Hitler. It can only be called a love relationship.''

''What, other than love, can explain the German people's glad welcome of this humble, but thoroughly dedicated savior from the Eastern Marches? What, other than love, can explain how the people of greater Germany remained with him in bad times and in good, for better or for worse? What, other than love, can explain the fact that those who remember him love him still?''

''We loved him because he stood for the best that was in us, and as our Leader, demanded of us our best. It was never Hitler's Germany. It shall always be: Germany's Hitler, the man loved by his people.''

''This is why we loved him...

We loved him because he loved us and our children.

We loved him so much that we, the young and not so young, made pilgrimages to his home in the Alps - not to ask him for favors, but merely to catch a glimpse of him and to be near him.

We loved him because he was a good listener and lived simply''........

You mean unlike that dude himself who literally said Trump was Hitler?

Yeah, not a caricature at all.
>>

Well obviously that's stupid because it severely discounts the intelligence of Adolf Hitler.
>>
>>930166
