It would have been highly unlikely that the Germans would claim France's African colonies, as they were already in a coalition near the beginning of the war, and as far as I know Hitler had very little imperialist goals other than making the german people and europe more powerful.

This was at the time that most countries were on the verge of giving up their colonies because they were becoming ticking time bombs, and I highly doubt the Germans wanted a huge land mass that would be difficult to manage and that they'd have to give up soon after anyway.
