Turkey was a revolutionary nationalist state out of the guts of the Ottomans.

Because Germany was made to deal with the practical consequences of war.

Hitler wasn't just seen as some guy who killed a bunch of minorities and foreigners, he was seen as a guy who caused Germany to be bombed to shit and then split in half.

Also, the Western allies made absolutely sure to see that the Germans were aware of the consequences of their actions.

Nothing like this happened for Turkey.

The whole jew thing was actually a late edition to the Nuremberg trials.

The original focus was on the crimes that the Nazis had committed against peace by attacking the Western allies.

The Holocaust was emphasized largely because it was a symbol of everything wrong with the National Socialist regime, and it was something to beat the Germans over the head with to keep them from going back to militarism.

The holocaust was actually downplayed in Warsaw Pact states postwar because the Soviets recognized that a lot of what they did in WW2 and its immediate aftermath wasn't too far removed from what the Nazis did.

So, unsurprisingly, a huge part of the modern neo-nazi and holocaust denial movement comes from former East Germany. With more people coming over from East Germany and ultimately faced with the reunification, West German politicians were faced with a looming social problem that they needed a quick fix to, so they decided the best thing to do was make holocaust denial illegal.

I'm not saying it was a good idea, but it wasn't some conspiracy to keep Germany down.

Right now turkish government is in full snackbar mode, and supported by a bunch of nationalists. Now on the other hand hey want that sweet EU trade.

So they have 3 ways..
1. Accept it, say sorry, pay (or not) reparation /those can be avoided actually/ and lose internal support of nationalists, because muh great nation never did anything wrong ever.

2. Accept it, go full jihad saying that we did it for Allah and shit and lose EU trade (actually a fracion of it cause EU is full of cucks)

3. Deny it and hope that the problem will solve itself. You gain nothing,you loose nothing, and don't have to take any action whatsoever.

Basically, nobody is forcing them to admit it, so why should they admit it? Unfortunately foreign policy operates a lot on the "don't burn bridges" principle so nobody will stick their neck out and pressure them for the sake of Armenians. Turkey is also a smart state when it comes to ethnic cleansing, they know how to organize and pursue just enough to avoid serious backlashes like they did to the Greeks in Thrace and Imbros/Tenedos, and the Kurds right now.

I'm a Jewish and grandson of Holocaust survivors, but it should be said Germany was made the scapegoat of Europe in exchange for the mad dosh they got from the US. The deal was: we payroll your entire postwar development, rebuild your infrastructure, industries and economy, provide you with defense and border defense against the Soviets, and in return you become a pacified, infantilized shell of your former self. 1945 (or rather 1949) was "year zero" to German culture; they had a complete system reboot and had to start off from scratch, while at the same time taking what amounts to basically infinite and perpetual sense of guilt and self-hatred.
