But in all honesty, the Korean civilisation was for most of it's existence subject to the suzerainty of either Japan or China, and mostly acted as just as vassal state to either of those two powers. That's not to say they don't have artistic, cultural and scientific achievements of their own, but it doesn't have anywhere near the same impact on the world of it's two more powerful neighbours.
