Thanks, /fit/.

Pretty sure Spartans could beat a hoard of /fit/'s to shit.

Only if it was 300 Spartans vs. 1 million 99-pound weaklings

>mfw Iranian cunts bitch and moan about how they aren't portrayed as cool in this movie
Iran has a seriously ridiculous boner for the Achaemenid Empire, like to the extent they will stick their fingers in their ears and scream NA NA NA I CANT HEAR YOUUUU when you try to explain to them they weren't literally the perfect/best empire of all time.
Seriously though, fuck the Iranian scholars who were actually retarded enough to take this movie seriously and wrote multi-page critics on American cinema like this was a personal attack on their morals, cultures, and values.
>>482507
>director starts ranting about how he reintroduced iran to it's pre islamic heritage by making 300.
truly something an american would say.
>>482517
Fuck off, Mehmet. No one cares about your fagboy Xerxes or how he got skullfucked by Greeks on the sea.

Sparta was actually pretty weak.
They focused on eugenics.
They had the strongest and most capable soldiers but that is not what win wars.
Athenes on the other hand did not kill their weak infants. By letting them live some became incredible useful to their society (strategist, engineer, politician capable of galvanizing people).
This is why Athenes strives long after Sparta colapsed.
People here actually like this shitty movie?
>>482638
As long as you remember that it is based off a gay as fuck comic book it is an okay matinee fap film.
The comic was superior, didn't have the subplot with the woman in it.

Yea, I thought it was fine.
The writer/director have acknowledged it isn't crazy historically accurate and they wanted to make it an interesting story.
I would dislike it more if they attempted to say it was 100% word for word accurate.
If people like shitty fucking anime like Toradora on this board, why would you be surprised people like mediocre films like 300?
>>482638
No. I saw it once and thought it sucked. I saw memes about it for years before that, though.
