What is the best bible translation?
>Not reading OT in Hebrew and NT in Greek
Any translation is inherently false.
Authorized King James Version
King James
New Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition
English translations suck as a whole honestly.

You better be reading Septuagint too, considering the Tanakh got canonized only after the emergence of Christianity and they deliberately removed references to Christ, which are still present in Septuagint.
KJV
All modern versions are perversions.

KJV is only useful for poetic language, Bible translation has improved immensely since then, it's dumb to recommend it as default. Might as well go for the Vulgate or Douay-Rheims if you respect tradition that much.

KJV delivers scripture more powerful than any other version. It keeps the nuances.
Thy, thee and thou is also very important because YOU can refer to both 1 person or a group of people.
What's the best Swedish translation? I'm thinking of reading one.
Modern versions use the corrupt Westcott & Hort text.
KJV is the best for English speakers because it is based on the Textus Receptus, the majority Greek text.

What's modern Swedish Lutheranism like? I was always interested in Swedes since they're the ones who pretty much saved protestantism in my country of origin.

I really don't know. I'm an immigrant still learning the language, and none of my swedish in-laws are religious at all.
Sorry I can't be helpful in that regard. I know no religious people at all infact.
