I never really liked that kind of stuff, it just looks cheap and fake to me. I prefer stuff like this, since its using eclectic historic influences to create something new rather than just copying old structures.

This one's pretty cool. It's based on earlier north Indian architecture but still looks unique.

Yeah, it's 'Mayan Revival' Art Deco, but there are usually influences from throughout Mesoamerica and the Andes.

Yeah, it was meant as a sort of uniquely (pan-)American style. It would be out of place in Europe.
