What has Korea ever done for history other than K-Pop, the worst disastrous Communist dictatorship ever and the Vengeance trilogy?

Juche is Chink Stalinism on steroids tho
Or a simple modern despotism. Its probably easier to define it that way
Hyundai cars are pretty quality. I have one and it's better than anything I've driven in the past 10 years.
Korean cuisine is also pretty choice. their Kim chi and noodle soups are delicious.
>>359825
From what I've heard they dropped any remaining Marxist-Leninist tendencies for racial ultranationalism and worship of the Kim family.

>mfw Japanese make fun of Koreans for their food
Irony at its greatest, to be honest.

>Juche is Chink Stalinism on steroids tho
Please, Stalinism is good for the people. That shit is when esoteric Buddhism meets Karl Marx.
>Best Korea
What more do you want?
Technically movable type was invented in Korea.

Please, the glorious theory of Juche written by the enlightened, ever living in our hearts, Kim Il Sung is good for the people.
Stalinism was only a good influence to our glorious leader.

Do they know about meme philosophers like Zizek or meme writers like Houellebecq in Best Korea?
Best writing system ever
>>360224
Not really. The fact that there are so many possible glyphs makes it inconvenient for a lot of things vs. e.g. the latin alphabet there there's a limited manageable number.
I don't think I've ever seen something like pic related in Korea for example.
The problem has been mostly solved recently for most purposes by advanced computers, but it's still an unnecessary complication. There are much ea'si'er ways to se'pa'rate syl'la'bles if that's some'thing you think it worth'whi'le.
Indigenous writing system that is easy to learn, and efficient in modern-day usage (e.g. typing, texting)
Metal printing press. 1377 (직지) was thought to be the oldest but older ones were found this year.
Koreana Tripitaka. The oldest complete Buddhist canon in existence.
Seonbi scholar class that gave up wealth and nobility for a humble life dedicated to filial piety and learning.
High advancement of Neo-Confucianism. More literature and famous scholars of Neo-Confucianism than other countries.
Many underdog military victories over numerically-superior invading enemies. Korean military history is underrated. Great military leaders such as Admiral Yi and Eulji Mundeok.

Expounding on a few things...
The older metal print that I mentioned was found in Korea.
>Tripitaka Koreana
The Japanese, Chinese and Taiwanese Tripitakas are based on the Korean one. The Tripitaka is like the Bible in Buddhism.
I don't know about what they've (done) for history, but if nothing else they have a really interesting history itself. Dealing with China and Japan, the three kingdoms period, court intrigue, and some really interesting kings. Much like a lot of overlooked countries in Asia.
A pretty cool guy

/o/ here
Everything else you drove before was shit then. I'm not saying that you have a bad car, but Korean cars are the A to B concept of Toyota with a bit of Lexus' luxury mixed in at a lower price. They're nothing special, and you could have probably bought a better Japanese or German car instead at the same price. That's at the core of why Korean cars aren't highly regarded.
Still decent though, just nothing to brag about.

>>363486
Protip: they are.
Before Sejong invented Hangul, every literate person wrote in Hanzi, aka Chinese script.
And most educated scholars were expected to actually be able to speak Chinese and converse fluently with Chinese scholars.
>>360036
Probably not. I can imagine most of North Korea's intellectual population do nothing but endlessly circle jerk over Karl Marx and Chinese and Soviet Communist propaganda pushers from the 50s.

He said "entirely culturally chinese". China is their biggest single source of outside influence, historially, but to say that they are entirely culturally chinese, what ever that means, is not true. Protip: Hangul wasn't just invented out of nowhere. Koreans don't like to admit it, but it clearly draws from Turco-Mongolians scripts to the north.
>>363486
The Turko-Mongol influence is less than 20% and way way overstated just like Anatolian Turks.
Most genes are from the Chinese Central Plains or southern China due to the spread of Rice Agriculture.
So genetically speaking Koreans share 70-80% identical Chinese genes
In turn Japanese share 70-80% identical Korean genes
Look at how close the major population centers of China are to Korea. And all the fertile land in the Korean peninsula usually faces west. Koreans aren't "Altaic" as they say they are
They are the usual insecure people that need to project their insecurity to feel different and superior
>>364526
If you look at Ming dynasty culture and Joseon they were almost the same. You are more Sinitic than Altaic. I can go on about archaeological proof that 3000 years ago it was like that. Rice farmers =/= nomads or hunter gatherers. Feel with it.
