Serbs got their share of asswhooping during the war when Bulgarians attacked them from behind and the combined Austrian and Bulgarian forces chased them out of Serbia through Albania. They lost over a half of their male population to cold, starvation, illness and wounds suffered from clashes with Albanian tribes and still managed to recover on Corfu, breaking down the Salonica front and charging all the way back to Serbia. Hell, they were ready to invade Bulgaria but the Bulgars changed sides once again and Britain explicitly ordered a ceasefire.

It's kinda moot though now that we're all joining EU. The truth is that us South Slavs don't deserve to be independent. We're not civilised enough to run a nation and not rape it for anything it's worth.

All the science, and learning, and architecture is due to what Austrians gave us.

This is why I'm pro-EU. It is a bit of a mess right now but we fomer Yugoslavs need to look towards the Europe and strive to be part of that community, not the fucking Turkish sandniggers, Greek savages and arguably Italian backwardness.

It didn't really start with the Black Hand. Austria-Hungary was already cracking due to economic stagnation and the elite feared liberal or socialist radicals were growing in power. Pretty much everyone agreed that it was time to start a war to get some good old-fashioned patriotic fervor started, they just couldn't get the OK from Germany to kick off the barney. Also Franz Ferdinand was very anti-war and was keeping the generals on a short leaf.

No, it starts with the Great Powers dicking around in Ottoman Balkan possessions. Gavrilo Princip was just a quick excuse because the Serbian refused to have him extradited to Vienna and the Black Hand had tenuous links to the Serbian military through its leader.

We fucked Austria (After 13 battles on the same god dam river) and took back our clay.
The only time Austria did a good push into Italy was when Germany helped, as soon as Germany left they fucked up and lost it all again.

I'd argue that in reality that blame more accurately falls to Russia trying to be the universal slav superhero nation and moving to the aid of the serbs. Germany asked Russia not to join in, but they did anyways, basically saying, "Don't worry, we're only moving against your ally". Everyone else got involved was pulled in after that. The problem was by the end of the war, Russia wasn't really even at the table, so blaming them wasn't feasible.
