>Be Japanese Surgeon General at the break out of war in 1941
>Get assigned to a special unit called Unit 731
>Kill thousands upon thousands of Chinese and POWs
>In the worse ways possible
>Testing bio weapons on them
>Performing surgery on them without anesthetic
>Setting them on fire to see how humans cope with burns
>Butcher children alive after infecting them with bio weapons
>Alive autopsies on pregnant women
>Document all of this
>War ends
>"Hey, hand us all those documents"
>Now have Immunity
>Never spend a single day in prison for your crimes
>Live out the rest of your life in peace in Tokyo.

How come the Japs got away with stuff like this but the Nazis didn't?
>>
Chinese aren't people
>>
>>3380072
You forgot to mention the part where they filled bombs full of fleas infected with the plague and dropped it on major Chinese cities
>>
>>3380072
Deals are made all the time. And his german counterpart Mengele escaped justice as well. It sucks, but sometimes the bad guys get away.
>>
>>3380072

>but the Nazis didn't.

Look up Operation Paperclip brainlet.
>>
>>3380157
Mengele was never granted immunity by the allies though
>>
>>3380170
*shrugs* if he actually did experiments worth a damn, maybe he could have used them as leverage.
>>
Did unit731 even accomplish anything or did the stuff they found have much value or did they just LARP as mad scientist

Unit 731 was also responsible for advancement in medical and biotechnology (as well as military engineering)so I guess Ishii is Japan's equivalent for that nazi guy working for nasa after all

They have studied about germs extensively so it's pretty obvious that they have pretty good insight about it. Their understanding about Malaria have led to complete eradication in Taiwan and South Korea and they were also the ones that introduced artemisia annua (which was previously only used by traditional chinese medicine) as quinine's alternative for treating malaria.

>>3380219
Kek where the hell did you find this pic? Shit is supposed tp be confidential.
>>
I heard that unit 731 created a super disease that still infects large parts of china to this day
>>
>>3380280
Weren't the chinese introduced Artemisinine to the world or something?
>>
>>3380463
The plant was fairly known to the oriental medicine circle as remedy for malaria for hundreds of years (just like how people use willow bark juice to treat fever) and yes, a chink lady won a nobel prize for her effort in extracting pure Artemisinin from Artemisia plant, But Unit 731 had started the work of developing a substitute for quinine for malarial treatment.

They need a cheap alternative for malarial treatment and found that Artemisia plant had shown positive result in treating soldiers suffering from the disease. From there, they turned the plant into both pill and juice extract and it was used not only by japanese soldiers, but also chinese/taiwanese/korean civilian and soldiers when they've requisitioned IJA's inventories

Afaik american field hospital have also used artemisia extract (requisitioned from japanese stock) to treat marines infected with malaria when quinine was in short supply

>>3380072
funny you say that about the nazis, some very clever germans who where quite close to the higher ranks of the third reich (i can give you names if you ask for it on my phone atm) were adopted by the US to help with anti-soviet intelligence and incorporated into the arms trade. Somewhat smart move by them but dodgy af

Klaus Barbie was hired by the CIA as a mercenary and used throughout the Cold War, even staging a coup in Bolivia.

Educate yourself brainlet.

>>3380624
I knew about that. Still Klaus is not even as close as bad as Ishii. And they arrested him at the end you stupid spastic
>>
>>3380157
But Mengele's sin has been inherited by every single German who came after, which is why Germany is now Germanistan (can't say no to those poor Refugees, that would be nazi), whereas Japan doesn't have that inherited sin.
>>
Can't fret about every egg when making an omelette OP
I'm fairly certain that you've used something produced thanks to the results of those experiments at least once in your whole lifetime

Big deal. Other countries also have their own water filtration system during WW2
>>
>>3381063
Difference is thatin other countries, field water management job is usually done by the "engineer" corps while imperial japan placed such responsibility to their medical corps. Now you tell me between these two, which one has more understanding about water-borne diseases and how to mitigate them?

Because Chinese aren't a disproportionately powerful and overrepresented group that runs the West and therefore are unable to have a monopoly on the suffering they endured in WW2.
