What are the trends of contemporary Japanese philosophy? Are they still trying to develop their own version of "philosophy" based on East Asia traditions or have they successfully integrated within Western traditions and made their own significant contributions?

Thanks. I think I should've said that i've already read that, is there anything else you can think of? All I know is existentialism made its way into Japan in 1980s and it was trendy for a while to use it to describe social phenomenons and that's it. That's pathetically little when compared with their ability to export pop-culture and technology. So I thought there's gotta be more
