Is there any place for me to find information pertaining to Lenin's bodyguards?

According to what I heard from some relatives, my grand-grandfather was a Lenin's bodyguard, but then apparently figured what a bloody mess the revolution is and fucked off to recently established Belorussian Socialist Republic. Allegedly even got a document signed by Lenin himself telling to give him some land for serving the cause or something, and he settled in Smarhon’, but seeing how Belarus got fucked during WW2 the document was destroyed. Is there any Russian or Belorussian archive that could have a copy of a document like that?
