What do you think about restorative justice? Should the legal system take the victim's or the victim's kin's forgiveness into account when sentencing?
Yes. All people deserve a second opportunity.

No. The crime was committed against the state, not the individual. It also allows for the interference of justice i.e. intimidation and bribery.
It would open up for honor killings as in Islamic countries.
>offspring brings shame upon family because he didn't fuck a goat on the second sunday of august or something
>pay friend of family to kill him to restore honor
>forgive him afterwards
shit tier idea, Ahmed.
no, the victim could have been coerced or psychologically damaged, the victim's kin is a separate individual
there are too many people in this world who for whatever reason have decided to inflict suffering on other sapient beings for no reason, every opportunity to punish them is objectively good

Victim`s kin could be forced to feign forgiveness. It should only matter in small time crimes. Assault and anything more should take forgiveness in account.

It's good when both criminal and victims want it
