Also Yamantau Mountain range, Kosvinsky Mountain, Beloresk, and the UVB-76 Dead Hand nuclear command and control system.

Just imagine what it would look like if the public could see what's inside Metro-2. Fucking creepy as shit. I know all governments have a COG plan but its just unsettling that they have an underground city and a secret metro that only the government of Russia knows about.

until now, apparently.

I don't appreciate what the OP is referring to. All that I see is: a big ring road, a river through the whole business, and miles of development all round. These are the CLASSIC natural and infrastructural characteristics of major cities and urban areas, including NYC, London, Paris, and I flatter myself, my own C-tier city in burgerland.
What I mean is that the picture looks "completely normal" to me from a conventional urban planning POV, at a glance. I have obviously missed whatever the OP and other anons have in mind.

Heh, I like you.
Yes, it exists. however at the fall of the soviet union a really big spider appeared in moscow, the KGB threw an uncommonly large show at it and it fell into Metro-2, unsure whether it is dead or alive they sealed all the entrances and exits and haven't been back in since.
