Any good? I remember my sister showing it to me before it was dubbed in the States and, being the only one in the family who would understand the references, got a nice laugh out of it.

Warum?
I've watched a lot of anime and it's one of my least favourite. I mean it's watchable if you're bored as shit but that's about it.
I liked it. It was pretty funny.
Maybe it's because I don't watch a lot of anime but I do like history and funny shit.
Fujoshit prease reave.

I'm of the same opinion, although maybe I view it a little more favorably. I also don't watch much anime, but this does it for me enough that I'm interested, and I think it's a great gateway series for younger people to get into history, even though I was into history a lot before I encountered Hetalia in 2010. The latest season was made in 2015, and I'm hoping for more. It's got a lot of funny, clever dialogue and scenarios about the different countries of the world, personified as people (mostly guys, for some reason, and I only recall Hungary and Seychelles being females, and most characters are blond haired). I have some personal reservations about the series, though, as the fanbase (at least mostly, the stereotypes) could be very annoying. This might seem strange, as I'm a fan myself, but I don't like the yaoi stuff the fans constantly obsess over.

Hetalia is good, and I like the way it handles stereotypes and historical events, but I think the French Revolution anime The Rose of Versailles is a better made history anime. RoV is a historical drama, though, not a comedy, except for some scenes, here and there.
