So I know that the Vikings and other Scandinavian types are famous for drinking horns at feats, but what else would people use? Like what would a more normal cup look like, or what would the Celts or Romans have used?

Either terracotta or wood. I'd assume earthenware was the standard just about anywhere.
Clay cups? It's not exactly complex to shape mud into a cylinder and bake it.
Horns are just more ornate, expensive, and possibly phallic. They also have a larger capacity.
clay, wood, copper

Most people would have used clay-dishes but glassware like pic related (it's a replica of a found viking glass) was also used. The richer you were the more pimp cup you had.
Roman diatreta cup, try finding one of those undamaged after 2000 years.

Fun fact, the art of making window glass nearly died out in Europe during the migration period. and only started again in the end of the medieval period.
At first they recycled roman glass and later made so called forest glass. but between like 500-1300 there where no glass windows in Europe. You had like shutters and thats it, maybe parchment screens for the rich kids.
Glass windows were the ultimate splendor at the end of the medieval period, and only the richest could afford windows for their houses, or at least their private rooms.

it is easier to make a rounded base than a square flat base
and the metal "net" works as a stabilizer

>the metal "net" works as a stabilizer
