Can you identify this German WW2 uniform?
While looking up my ancestors I came across this picture, and I have had a lot of trouble identifying this uniform.
The photo was probably taken in Lodz (Litzmannstadt) in 1941-1943. The man in the picture might have been in the Ordnungspolizei, but that's not certain.
Two things are striking with this picture: the collar shape seems to be very rare, the closest I have seen yet are (low-rank) SS uniforms. But I haven't found any uniform with the two six-pointed stars (!) on the collar like in the picture.
So I am both asking and challenging /his/ to identify the uniform in the picture :)

How does it feel to know that your grandpa is an SS nazi war criminal
Looks like Gramps was part of Hitlers personal trap harem.

Looks reminiscent of National Chinese uniform. Could be a German advisor to China, but I can't tell with any certainty
Not OP but my great grandfather was in the German army during WWII. He died on the eastern front.

That looks like Austro-Hungarian WW1 collar insignia.

Your ancestor might've been a Corporal.
Also i don't see any shoulder mark so it actually could've been an AH uniform. Unlike German uniform, K.u.K. uniforms lacked shoulder marks.
I think it could be "Vládní vojsko" (Government army) of Peotectorate Bohemia and Moravia, it had about 6000 soldiers, 5000 were sent to Italy to fight the partisana in 1944, but 800 fled to the enemy and even created own partisan unit so they were used only for construction works.
