Is it true that the Poles tried to fight tanks with cavalry?
No, the Polish cavalry units used the horses to maneuver and then got on foot to fight the Germans. They're not savages.
So apart from Danzig, the "Corridor" consisted of Polish-majority regions that had risen up in 1918-1919, correct?
fucking poles lmao

Does it even matter? The german Army used millions of horses to supply their troops in Russia. Obviously they were not that out of fashion.

Yes and no. The Polish did use horses to scout and did attack/raid German supply lines with said horses, but none of them charged a tank with a lance.
The incident that was embellished into "the poles fought German tanks with cavalry" was a skirmish on the first day of the war where a unit of polish cavalry was attempting to delay German infantry and found themselves in a perfect position to charge, which they did. This caught the Germans completely by surprise causing them to flee in a disorganized manner taking heavy losses. The poles pursued them and were counter attacked by German armored cars, causing the poles to withdraw taking heavy losses themselves. Slavomir Rawicz was involved in that skirmish and wrote about it in his book the long walk, saying when they broke the German infantry it was the one fleeting moment when he thought that maybe Poland had a chance.

Nope, Polish cavalry used horses only for transport or small raids on infantry
But in case of coming across tanks, cavalrymen were equipped in Bofors 37mm AT guns and wz 35 AT rifles (pic related)
Anyway, this equipment proved quite useful, Polish cavalry scored several victories against German armour, most remarkable being battle of Mokra
