In like the 6th grade I was just talking with my friends bout the Mexican American war, and right after mentioning that Texas was an independent republic for a time, this autist came up and called me a liar.

I explained the entire history of how Texas became independent and how they eventually joined the US, and even mentioned Sam Houston, but this faggot still said I was wrong.

I asked my "history" teacher about it, so I could end the conversation, but was told that Texas being independent was "ridiculous" and that I should stop spouting "neo-confederate propaganda."
