For example in the colonial era taking all working age men especially young ones from their family/village farm whatever would hurt crop yields since the labour pool is much lower for that now. Now take those men and make them work for the Euro-owned mines,farms, building projects and jam them into incredibly crowded and shitty housing (don't want to waste money on your cheap barely any rights workers) around other men.

Now prostitutes come in because huge pool of labourers with money, men who have no relationships or wives or separated want to fug and you aren't back home so you fuck a whore which leads to the obvious spread of an STD.
