There is no need to conquer the world, and all the mess that comes with it, when you have one nation so vast and majestic as to simply be the centre of the world, existing on a plane above all around it. As Rome at its height looked over the sea of quarreling barbarians and petty kingdoms beyond its borders, peering down from the marble city, so China must see the world.

Do you not know why China call themselves "Middle Kingdom" or "Central Kingdom"(aka. Zhong Guo, 中國)? They're "the center of the world" as much as ancient Rome, ancient India, ancient Persia,...etc were the center of their worlds.
