Anyone going to watch the new Ken Burns documentary?

I've never seen a Ken Burns documentary.

I don't think I will. I loved Ken Burns' Civil War series, but honestly I just don't give enough of a fuck about Vietnam to sit through hours and hours about it. I get that it was America's first defeat in a war (1812 notwithstanding), but nothing about it really grabs my attention. Maybe because I was born so long after it ended.

As an Australian I thought the same thing about the Civil War, and it knocked my socks off. Then I watched Vietnam: A Television History and had it happen again, so mabye watch that and find another narrative of history to fall into.

There's so much more to Nam than it being a modern US defeat.

I didn't hate baseball, but since I'm not American, I simply didn't give a shit about the sport... but since I liked Civil War so much I decided to give Baseball a chance. I loved it, it's just so comfy and while I still don't follow baseball, I did gain a sort of respect for the sport, or at least the people who love it. Last year the Cubs won the world series and it actually warmed my heart a bit.
