I agree with it being humorless and shameless in its propaganda. Why couldn't they just have an official state press release on the necessity of utilizing every available resource in a state under extreme sanctions that's trying to use a new-deal type public works system to crawl out of the great depression? It's still propaganda, and every nation hit by the depression put out such propoganda, but just leave comedic entertainment alone and keep state propoganda out of the arts. Also, variety shows blow, and it's depressing to know that some of the first television ever broadcasted was a 1930s equivalent to the Ellen degeneres show
