Why didn't any other countries help Finland defend itself from the Soviets during the Winter War? It seems very sad that the entire world just sat back and nobody bothered to send troops to help them out.

Sweden sent volunteers and i believe Britain sent some equipment and supplies.

IIRC there were plans for a volunteer force to be sent but Norway and Sweden wouldn't allow them access across their land

The US only got into WWII because Japan was allied with Germany. We barely even wanted to help Britain with the lends lease. I think we may have even been importing Volkswagens at the time.

The Finn's imported a couple tanks from britain. Ordered em without seats, lights or a main gun to save money.
