How is the new episode? Seems like a cool topic
I'm half way through
It's pretty good but mostly Fall of the republic rehash so far

Can't stand listening to this guy. Voice sounds edgy and stresses the end of sentences in that raspy voice.

I'm sorry you dislike passion.

He's a brilliant storyteller. Pic related.

Don't want to rain down on the parade but just not into it. Turned off by the whole batman voice and a low analysis skill and uninteresting opinions (Alexander was like Hitler, Caesar was like Hitler). In turn it messes up /his/ if people just grab the sensationalist charged things he says on a topic and just paste it here. They'll get corrected but misinformation is an annoying thing especially when it's from a popular source. To me storyteller is not an excuse when it's in the dress of history presenter.

5/10 captured his voice. Hit the memes, but failed translating his voice to page.

Couple hours in, sort of boring compared to other stuff and I'm noticing his usual stuff more often

>CLINT EASTWOOD TYPES
>IF I HAD A TIME MACHINE

Still listenable, but I'd recommend Mike Duncan's version of the story (which wasn't very long IIRC, but this isn't a very long story.)
Alright, didn't need to be 6 hours though, he must have gone off about biker gangs half a dozen times.

I don't know what you're expecting but he just reads various sources and cobbles together the most interesting pieces into a broad stroke through a particular event. It serves as a bed to incite further interest in a subject. It's annoying when he dips below the range of human hearing but otherwise his voice is great, the distinct tone he uses for quotes makes them very easy to understand and lends the whole thing a bit of camp.
